How many MB are in a GB?
One gigabyte (GB) equals 1,000 megabytes (MB), so divide MB by 1,000 to get GB. For example, 1,500 MB equals 1.5 GB. Binary units are different: one gibibyte (GiB) equals 1,024 mebibytes (MiB). Select MiB and GiB when a system uses binary sizes instead of treating MB as an ambiguous 1,024-based unit.
